Four flowers radiate across the lid dome, their seed heads settled in the shoulder between knob and lip, petals filling the space between them. The body continues the theme with vertical carved strokes suggesting the petals.
Glazed lightly in a floating blue, the dark iron tones dominate but blue surfaces in the recesses and along the carved edges — subtle and worth finding. Exposed stoneware at the rim and foot grounds the piece in its material. Sized for small-batch ferments — kimchi, kraut, pickles, paste.
